Initially trained as a building engineer at the Barcelona School of Architecture and later as an architect at Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, he then pursued a doctorate from the A Coruña Higher Technical School of Architecture. During the course of his architectural studies in Madrid, he worked in the offices of the architect D. José Antonio Corrales.
From that point on, he gained 40 years of experience dedicated to his professional practice, with more than 1,500 projects completed, developing complete architecture, design, urban planning and construction projects, both nationally – working closely with companies like Unión Fenosa and Fadesa, amongst others – and internationally – in countries like Morocco, Mexico, South Africa and more…
In additional, he was a tenured professor for more than 10 years at A Coruña Technical School of Architecture and at the Higher Technical School of Architecture at the University of A Coruña, and also taught various classes at the College of Building Engineers of Galicia and A Coruña Chamber of Commerce..
